Panchakarma corrects the imbalances by eliminating the adverse amas out of your system. The Panchakarma treatment basically involves daily massages and oil baths, herbal enemas, nasal administrations. It is a very pleasurable and rejuvenating experience for both the body and the soul.

Eligibility For Treatment.

Everyone can be an eligible candidate for the Ayurvedic massages. Pregnant women and people who are older than 75 can avoid these Panchakarma treatments at some of the herbal remedies might not suit them

Depending on the needs, all or only parts of the five therapies are utilized. Sometimes two or three of the therapies are linked together to form the basis of the treatment. The five karmas in Panchakarma are:

  • Vaman (vomiting)
  • Virechan (purgation)
  • Basti (enema)
  • Nasya (nasal application)
  • Rakthamoksha (blood purification)

Post-Treatment Care Treatment.

You might be asked to take herbal tonics or herbal syrups for a few days after the Panchakarma treatment. You might be asked to change your diet patterns so that the herbal remedies work effectively. Apart from these, there are no specific guidelines to follow. Your Ayurvedic doctor would be the best person to suggest this based on your body pattern.

 

Treatment Recovery Tips.

No, there is no recovery period involved in Panchakarma therapy sessions, and you can get back to your regular duties immediately post the treatment. Usually, these types of remedies are done in sessions. Hence make sure that you follow these sessions religiously as a break in the pattern cannot get the results that you desire.
